The logo was designed to be based around a predominantly dark theme, but some liberties were taken when needing to overlay the logo over a light background. Instead of color inversion I created a stroked background that conformed to the lines of the logo. Even on a light backdrop the white high contrast still pops - and retains legibility at distance and small sizes.
Mockups were originally done in Photoshop for speed, but migrated to Illustrator. The image is full vector.
